Once the Robotech models are going, they will take over the riverbed as their own. Therefore, the Falcon must find another safe harbor. Thus, the landing platform.
The sushi lid is a clear plastic cover, which suggests doing windows. However, interior details would have to be convincingly elaborate. We will see.
Never unerestimate the power of burnt cheese to simulate carbon scoring/buildup. In this case, it looks perfect for landing thruster scorches!
