An ~18 inch pine round from Home Depot for nine dollars. I lined up the antenna module about where I wanted it and set it off slightly from the center to counter the weight of the pod and electronics to come.

Sliding the steel bars in, I penciled off the area and began drilling. The first hole was tight and true. The Starboard hole was too loose. I cut another pair of slots just above them.

I also drilled out a nail hole near the dead center top on the backs. I will need to route the back for electronics. I'll wait for the pod to be fully done before drilling a hole. It will be a long while before I get to staining it.

A couple weeks ago, I stained the round a couple times and it looks great.  Have it hanging on the wall with the AMK now.  AMK still needs some painting and it will be a long while for the pods (which need lighted interiors themselves).
