Pre-and Post-combat with Enterprise ala' TWoK!!!

I'll most likely light this kit, though a battery hatch eludes me on the design.

I only had one of these as a kid. And losing a pylon cover, I never wound up building it!

it arrived yesterday. I primed up this morning and just a test fit. This kit does not seem to come with a stand! Looks real nice taped up. Before proceeding further, I must decide on lights or not. I'll black prime the interior regardless. The battery hatch will be determining factor.

The shuttle bays will be no good for a hatch (and the interiors will have to be constructed). The weapon pod will also not be useful (using flashing lights on the destroyed nacelle would rock!).

I found a space! Precision dremeling will allow me to cut a hole in the bottom of the primary hull, just forward of the Impulse Dome. I can also use the Impulse Dome is an on/off switch.

The other kit will remain sealed until this one is finished. This one becomes the experiment. If it's good, I'll light the second as well. If bad, i'll not light the second. Either way, the second one becomes the pre-combat Reliant. This one shall be Post-combat Reliant. And it shall be lit!

Another kit I have been pondering this week. I laid it out for basic painting, what can be... the hell is going to drilling first, painting, and a few more days after that.

Gave a white coat to all non-drilling areas. I should drill tomorrow and get it out of the way.

I glued as much together as would allow. Painted the rear panel white at long last, had lost track of it in another box until last night.

Next up for Reliant: Lights -- and getting reference!

Tried ebaying it twice with all sorts of leds and extras but no one bit.  Back to long term storage with it.  I may as well break it out when I get to the electronics pipeline in the next month or so.
