Arrived today. This one and the Archer are definitely Davion (versus Lao, I think)...

With priming of the Archer, I decided to move on this one. A number of paint schemes occurred to me, but I settled on copper. Should be sweet! I laid all pieces out in boxes today. I'll need to airbrush them if I do it tomorrow. Otherwise, I can wait until I buy a can of copper/bronze.

I primed this one black some time ago. Tonight I masked parts off and painted white. I'm going with yellow for the skull leader paint scheme. This way, if anyone asks me about my bike's paint scheme, I can point to this guy. As I finish the Archer later, I'll begin pulling this together.
Looking for no battle damage on this one, but I partially snapped a wing while masking the parts. It should be fixable. As I remove parts from the tree, all needs lots of minor touchup painting.

I found some more black to mask and spray, so I did so.

Took about four hours to build. Another hour to detail. Very smooth overall. Very, very fast as well. Got to give it some washes, but that's about it. I went with some silver/blue spot colors rather than the gold I thought. I want the decals to dry for a day before I do any more.
As I finished the kit up, I deduced the scenario: LAM is reinforcement flying in to help the Archer smash on the Stinger -for whatever reason.
Setting them up on the riverbed helped out. I may need to put some craters or blast marks on the diorama to help out as well. Don't know if fire and smoke will be all that practical, but I'll consider it...
